CANSA Relay For Life Paarl is returning in March and the organising committee needs volunteers to make the event even bigger and better than last year.
Dirk Burger, newly elected chairperson, is inviting all locals to contact Minette van der Walt at 083-350-3531 to become involved with Cansa Relay For Life, Paarl.
“We have a chance to create something special for the hundreds of locals fighting cancer each year in Paarl,” said Burger.
“I would especially like to extend an invitation to local cancer survivors and carers. At the core of Cansa Relay For Life is a celebration of survivorship and the importance of honouring those we have lost to the disease.”
Cansa Relay For Life is an overnight community fundraising event that spreads a message of hope and support to those affected by cancer.
“2010’s Cansa Relay For Life in Paarl was a wonderful success,” said Burger. “I would like to thank all those people who volunteered their time on the previous committee and welcome back those who are able to assist again this year.”
“The individuals who volunteer their time to help organise Cansa Relay For Life play an important role in the fight against cancer.
“There are opportunities available for anyone who would like to be involved. The one common denominator we are looking for, is enthusiasm,” said Burger.
