KWV trains unemployed youth in hospitality 2011-01-20
AS part of its social economic development programme, the KWV has been recruiting and training unemployed youths in the Paarl and Worcester communities, specifically for employment in the hospitality sector. KWV is now taking this targeted skills development project a step further, by offering study assistance to 100 individuals who aspire to receive a formal, specialised qualification in the hospitality sector. These students from the Western Cape have received bursaries from KWV to study at the International Hotel School. They are (from left) Venus Dayeni, Alecia Africa, Tyron Botha, Chandré Albertyn, Vusi Makani, Kalipa Mpofana and Bradley van Niekerk. Alecia is from Paarl and previously worked at the Grande Roche Hotel. Pic: Melissa Tighy
