Paarl II came short. The Paarl 2nd XI played against Vredenburg-Saldanha in an MTN 40 over match at Parys B. The visitors batted first and scored a healthy 252 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Roswin Cornelissen was Paarl’s best bowler. In their turn to bat, Paarl came short by 73 runs when they could only accumulate 179 in their allotment of 40 overs. Paarl’s best performers were Wade Anderson (30), Clint Pedro (27) Cliffie Walters (25) and Zurich Muller (24). Paarl II travelled to Darling for another MTN 40 over fixture. Paarl batted first and scored a healthy 201/5 on a very slow outfield. Paarl’s best contributors were Lynal Jansen (79 off 44), Rudy Andrews (64) and Kurt Martin (20*). Darling started well and constantly changed strike with magnificent running between the wickets. Paarl, in their turn did not do themselves any favours with shoddy fielding and 3 dropped catches. Darling scored the winning runs off the last ball after there was confusion as to the amount of runs required off the last over. ) Paarl-Oos II wen met 10 lopies In die eerste 40 boulbeurt-wedstryd in die nuwe jaar het Paarl-Oos II 125 aangeteken en kon op die ou einde daarin slaag om Wellington CPUT met 10 lopies te klop. Elroy Abrahams (43 4x4) het die beste met die kolf gevaar en spog ook met 2 paaltjies vir 14 lopies in hul boulskof. Lewellyn Zewrick (2/23) en Wayne Minnies (4/24) was saam met Abrahams Paarl-Oos se beste boulers en het Wellington/CPUT in die 32ste boulbeurt uitgeboender. Dane Schoor (55 5x4) was Paarl-Oos III se beste kolwer in hul wedstryd teen Brackenfell die afgelope naweek. Paarl-Oos het 229/7 opgestapel in hul 40 boulbeurte en het Brackenfell beperk tot 229/7. Schoor is goed bygestaan deur Chris Bruinders (31 6x4) en Raoul Paulse (25 3x4). Met die bal het Schoor (3/41), Herschelle Poggenpoel (2/34) en Lee-Roy Goliath (2/42) goed gevaar.
