Boland road race league starts

THE first in a series of ten road races in the 2010 Boland Road Running League Season will start on 5 February with the 2011 Prison to Prison Road Race (10 and 21 km) at the premises of the Brandvlei Correctional Services. This race will also be the first in a series of three races where athletes can qualify for the Boland team to the 2011 SA 10km Championships in May 2011. Times athletes must run to qualify for the Boland team to the 2011 SA 10km championship are junior men (30:40), men (29:50), junior women (35:50) and women (34:50). This race will be followed by the SA Marathon Championship (13 February), the Swartland 10 and 21km (5 March), the Rainbow 10km (Boland 10km Champs) on 12 March, the SAD 21km (2 May), the De Doorns 10 and 21km (21 May), the SA 10km Champs (22 May), the Robertson 10 and 21km (Boland half-marathon championship) on 4 June, the SA half-marathon championship (2 Jul), the Voorsieners 10 and 21km (16 July), the Paarlberg 10 and 21km (13 August), the Riebeek Kasteel 10 and 21km (3 September), the Michell’s Pass 10 and 21km (15 October), the Dwarsrivier 10 and 21km (5 November) and the Winelands 42km Boland Marathon Champion-ship (19 November).
