Somalian shot

A SOMALIAN national was shot at point-blank range while walking in a street in Mbekweni over the weekend. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in Mbongweni Street, OR, when Alias Hassen was walking between two of his shops. He was suddenly approached by four men. One of them produced a firearm and shot Hassen at close range in the hip. The men fled the scene and Hassen was taken to Paarl Hospital, from where he was transferred to Tygerberg Hospital due to the severity of his injury. No arrests have yet been made.
