MASTER guitarist and passionate muso Albert Frost will be performing at the live music concert series at Backsberg on 23 January.
Frost started playing the guitar in 1990, when he was only 13, and has since gone on to establish himself as a music industry veteran.
In 1994 he started playing alongside his father, the legendary Frank D Frost, in the acclaimed blues band, the Blues Broers.
He performed with Valiant Swart from 1999 to 2003 and recorded Blou Kombuis with Koos Kombuis in 2000.
Frost released his first solo album, Catfish, in 2002 and with that created a new musical spectrum with a mixture of original songs and ‘Frost-versions’ of the classics from Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters to name a few.
The album, recorded in front of a live audience, solidified Frost as South African music royalty. Now in 2010 Frost’s new album, Devils and Gods, continues to delight fans.
