THE 2011 results are out for Wine Magazine’s longest running annual competition, the Chenin Blanc Challenge. Perdeberg’s Rex Equus 2008 has once again proved to be no standardbred, as it effortlessly galloped away with the 2011 Chenin Blanc Challenge title.
The judges noted its “citrus, honey, buttery note and smoky oak” on the nose and commended its “full, rich palate with a range of flavour from lime to apricot, peach and some nuttiness”.
