THE Galacticos Football Club, with its Chilean coach Carlos Oliveros, who has experience as a player in South America and Europe, is a fresh breeze for soccer in the Paarl.

The objective of this mini-club is to teach boys and girls the basic technical and tactical rules of soccer and to develop soccer as a sport.

Galacticos FC started in May with 8 players from Courtrai and slowly kids from other schools like Boys’ Primary, Bridge House and Wellington Primary started to join.

This year, vacancies are open for boys u.7 and u.9 and also for girls 8 to 11 years old.

The practise sessions for boys u.7 and the girls take place in Paarl on Tuesday and Thursday at the Methodist Church field, opposite the Frank Pietersen music school in Sanddrift Street, from 16:00 to 18:00.

Boys u.9 and u.11 practise at the Boy Louw fields (Paarl Soccer Club) on Mondays and Wednesday from 16:30 to 18:30.
