JODY ABRAHAMS, well-known actor and comedian, presents his one man show “Is Ja!” on Saturday 5 February at the Old Mill Theatre as a fundraiser for the Boland School for Autism. The show starts at 20:00. “Is Ja” is a roller-coaster ride that uses music and song to tell the sometimes sad, often hilarious, yet always truthful account of Abrahams’s life thus far. In his quest to illustrate the triumphs as well as the heartaches he encountered during his career’s rapid ascendancy, Abrahams takes on the personas of other characters to share his intensely personal story. Written by talented Johannesburg playwright, Stephen Simm, “Is Ja!” gives audiences insight into the sometimes bizarre industry called showbiz and allows Abrahams to express his versatility both as an actor and singer.
