2005-10-13
ARNO CARSTENS, legendary lead singer of the Springbok Nude Girls and award-winning solo artist, will be at the Barnyard Theatre at Bridge House School on Sunday to promote the release of his second solo album, The Hello Goodbye Boys. He will be joined by Albert Frost in their programme ‘Unplugged’, showcasing Frost’s extraordinary guitar playing to its fullest extent. Book seats at 874-1505. Arno and his band have just returned from the UK where they launched the album to the South African fans living in central London. He shared the stage with Albert Frost performing three capacity acoustic shows in the Walkabout Bars situated around the target area. The final show was at the Shepherds Bush Empire, a venue that showcases some of the biggest artists in the world. The week spent in the UK was an outstanding success, and has created a strong platform for Arno to return to the UK for follow up tours within the next year. Plans are already underway for the second UK tour in November this year.
