Roads open soon

WORK on the new Parys Road linking the N1 with Jan van Riebeeck Drive in Paarl (the MR201 northbound) should be open to traffic by the end of October, depending on weather conditions.
The southbound carriageway of the MR201 will then be completed by April, but landscaping in the median will only be completed by next winter, when the planting will be completed, according to a spokesman for UWP consulting, Adrian Skea.
The work on the Sonstraal Road near Allandale prison should also be completed by the end of the month.
