THE Populate the Parks campaign is a project of the Drakenstein Municipality which aims to make the public aware of the importance of parks as public open spaces and to preserve parks for future use.

Children will have fun with indigenous games, jumping castles, slippery slides, treasure hunts and a lot of other interesting items.

The events will take place at the park closest to the Drakenstein Library at 10:00 (jumping castles, Steiny the dragon, story-telling sessions) today, at the park in Phola Park today from 10:00 between Nozala and Macebo Street (indigenous games, jumping castles, Steiny the dragon, Granny’s will be telling stories) and a pre-school soccer competition tomorrow from 08:00), and today at Wellington’s Joubert Park (slippery slide, jumping castles, fire brigade).

Full details are available at your nearest library.
