ON Tuesday 5 April at 07:40 on the corner of Optenhorst and Alkmaar Streets in Paarl, a woman in a black car accidentally hit a Husky who had run in front of her vehicle.
The poor animal was stuck under the front of her car being dragged for approximately 10m before the shouts and hooting of the surrounding cars forced the woman driver to stop her vehicle.
She calmly reversed her car which allowed the poor Husky to come free and then proceeded to drive away without checking if the dog was injured.
I was shocked by her indifference, as she happened to have her very own large black dog sitting on the back seat of her car.
The Husky was taken to an animal hospital for treatment by someone who not only says she loves animals, but shows it too.
To all those people who tried to assist, we thank you.
If this is your missing Husky, contact us on either 072-150-9255 or 021-872-2218 so he can be reunited with his family.
