* Verkope. Die Koraal Light House Familiesentrum (ou polisiestasie) hou op 16 April ’n hoenderbraai en potjiekosverkope (R40 en R20) met baie pret en vermaak vanaf 12:00. Daar sal grootskerm-televisie wees om Super 15 rugby te kyk. * Vroue. Die VLV Aandtak, Paarl vergader op 14 April om 19:15 te Hoofstraat 141, Paarl. Lynette Barnes, voorsitter van die Wes-Kaap Byevereniging, sal praat oor byeboerdery. Daar sal ook ’n uitstalling wees van handgemaakte kaartjies deur Engela Wright en voordrag sal gelewer word deur Daniëlle van Staden (HMS). * Biddag. Die senior burgers van Lanquedoc hou Sondag 17 April vanaf 14:00 ’n biddag teen dwelms, drankmisbruik en prostitusie. Dit word aangebied in samewerking met verskeie kerke en sprekers, asook die polisie.
* Fun walk. The Rotary Club of Drakenstein, in support of local community projects, will host a 10km Family Fun Walk on Saturday at 07:30. The walk will start and finish at the Paarl Mall. There will be lucky draw prizes and free cooldrink at the finish. Entry is R20 (R10 for children) and entry forms are at Gys Smith Pharmacy and Kodak Express or at the start. * Die Divine Mercy Pinksterkerk hou ’n konferensie-saamtrekdiens vanaf 22 tot 24 April by die Huguenot Gemeenskapsaal. Die tema van Vrydag 22 April se diens is Sewe Kruiswoorde (10:00), ’n Vrouediens (14:00) en Jeugsangaand (18:00) vind plaas op Saterdag 23 April en die erediens begin Sondag 24 April om 10:00. * Play. The Lighthouse Family Church in Paarl will host an Easter Production with the title “He came to set the captives free” on Saturday 23 April at 18:00 at the Charleston Hill Secondary School Hall. The play will provide entertainment from different music genres from Kirk Franklin to BeBe and CeCe Winans. It will also interlap relevant social issues like drug and alcohol abuse. * Kaasfees. Die tiende SA Kaasfees vind plaas vanaf 29 April tot 2 Mei by Sandringham, geleë langs die N1 naby Stellenbosch. Kaartjies is R110 vir Saterdag of Sondag en R90 vir Vrydag of Maandag. Senior burgers betaal R70 en dit is gratis vir kinders 12 jaar en jonger. Die fees duur daagliks vanaf 10:00 tot 18:00 en tot 17:00 op die laaste dag. * Launch. Kohin International Agency is a registered non-profit organisation that specialises in training the best equipped youth coach and placing them in schools across South Africa and have established their student headquarters in Paarl.
