FRANSCHHOEK chef, Margot Janse of Le Quartier Francais, has been named the best in Africa and the Middle East and rated 36th in the world on the San Pellegrino Top 50 listing. The winner remained Noma for the 2nd year running, a Danish restaurant run by chef Rene Redzepi. For the first time at the awards they announced Best Female Chef, which was won by Anne-Sophie Pic of Maison Pic in the south east of France.
