Young Paarlite to join world explorers

Juriaan Bester, a Grade 11 learner at Paarl Gymnasium, is one of 16 young explorers from all over the world, who have been selected to participate in the 9th Pangaea Young Explorers Selection Camp from 12 to 22 June.
This camp will be held in Switzerland at the Mike Horn Expedition Centre in Chateau-d’Oex.
The camp acts as a second and final selection phase after which 8 participants will be selected to join Mike Horn as “Young Explorers” in the Canada Expedition.
During the camp the participants will take part in outdoor activities and physical and mental challenges and receive instruction on environmental matters and sustainability. Juriaan is a volunteer at the Cape Town Aquarium and very interested in environmental matters.
