THE Frank Pietersen Music Centre is presenting its annual gala concert on Sunday 29 May at 18:00 in the Paarl Town Hall.
The audience will be treated to a feast of wonderful music of which some will have a strong traditional African flavour.
The youth orchestra, the African percussion ensemble, string ensembles, the senior windband, adult, youth and children’s choirs, a combined choir, a vocal ensemble and a brass ensemble will perform.
The African Percussion Ensemble will add spice to the program with their traditional instruments, such as the uhadi (the African bow) and the many new instruments which have been added this year to the well-known Marimba Ensemble.
The Youth Choir, in collaboration with the African Percussion Ensemble, will perform African songs accompanied by African instruments.
The Frank Pietersen Music Centre invites all music lovers to enjoy the evening with them and to appreciate the wonderful talent of the young students.
Tickets are available at the door and at the Music Centre at R60 (R30 for scholars and pensioners).
