A PUBLIC meeting to discuss the upgrading of the Paarl sewage works will be held from 18:00 to 20:00 on Wednesday evening at the Paarl Boys’ High clubhouse in Brug Street.
The sewage infrastructure of Paarl and Wellington needs to be upgraded urgently. The strategic projects on the short and medium term include upgrading of the Paarl sewage works by 33% (from 27 to 35 Megalitres per day); construction of an additional bulk pipeline from Paarl South to the Paarl sewage works over 12 km; and identification and proclamation of the terrain for a new regional sewage works for the rural area south of the N1 (planned for the medium term).
