THE Winelands Choir (ex Paarl/Wellington Regional Choir) under the leadership of Ivan le Kay will be performing on Saturday 18 June at 19:30 in the Toringkerk in Paarl.
The programme includes music of Handel, Mozart, Dvorak, Bruckner, Kodaly, John Rutter, H and J Joubert, Lettie Oellerman and G Cillié.
Solos will be performed by Jo-Nette le Kay (soprano), Samantha Kulsen (soprano), Samantha Adams (soprano), Danfred Jacobs (tenor) and Nathan Thomas (baritone). The proceeds of this concert will go towards Rusoord old age home.

This concert coincides with the choir’s first birthday which will be celebrated on 12 June during a church service in Simondium.
During the 1990’s the PaarlWellington Regional Choir reached many achievements which included overseas tours to France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark where they performed and received recognition from King Gustav of Sweden, Queen Margerete of Netherlands, and a blessing from the Pope.
Local concerts included singing with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, performing in the Cango Caves and for former President Nelson Mandela.
