Pets are our companions and joy
2011-06-23
WE spend our lives with some amazing creatures, whether we look to them for comfort, support or protection, they are always there. In almost every story of our lives we can picture an animal or companion right next to us, sharing the joy. Animals are part of our way of life and they give us so many joyful memories. We as owners and companions should look out for their every need, things like making sure they have a warm bed or shelter, food and some basic needs which often go unattended. Things in life are not always fair, but try to picture it from a dog’ view: have you ever noticed that when disciplining a pet they usually still want to be around you, even if you are not pleased with them? One of the kindest things you can do for your pets is get them sterilised. Around 25% of animals not sterilised before the age of six months have a chance of getting a type of cancer. At the Wellington SPCA the staff is dedicated to save lives and re-unite animals with their loved ones. They offer their time, energy and love to strays, lost and abused animals. But this is all at a price - they can only help as far as they are allowed to by supplies and donations. By this I am saying they need your help! Any donations whether it be money, blankets or food, can save a life of a deserving animal. Pay a visit to the Wellington SPCA, because you never know if your next family member might be waiting there for you. Be an example and save a life. Juan de Roock
