IN the second semester, the Boland College’s campus in Paarl will offer courses to both part-time and full-time students. This is the first time that the Paarl campus takes in full-time students in July.
Students can enrol themselves full-time for N4 Marketing, Human Resource Management and Secretarial.
Students enrolling in full-time courses will now be paying less, thanks to increased state subsidies (R366 per subject and R1436 for a program of four subjects).
Bursaries are also available and students who pass their courses can apply for bursaries again.
Among the part-time courses offered at night are courses in Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Public Management, Bookkeeping, Computer Practice, Pastel, Payroll, Office Administration, Management Assistant and Photography (short course). Classes are subject to sufficient enrolments.
The National Minister of Higher Education, Dr Blade Nzimande, has announced on various occasions that persons who are unemployed can enrol themselves at tertiary education colleges, in order to improve their skills at the work place.
Registration takes place on Tuesday 19 July and Wednesday 20 July (09:00-17:00). Night classes commence on 1 August at 18:00. Application forms and bursary forms are available at the college in Plein Street.
