Technology and knowledge meet at Intervitis Interfructa

2011-07-28

WIDE international representation, the latest technology, products dominating the wine and vine world and knowledge of both. That’s what’s happening at the 12th Intervitis Interfructa, from 2 to 4 August at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Intervitis Interfructa Southern Africa offers visitors the one event every alternate year where they can meet suppliers of products and services under one roof, compare prices and exercise their bargaining power.

The latest technology locally and from abroad offers winemakers and fruit farmers the chance to build a leading technological advantage and learn about the latest in their field of expertise. The show also presents terrific networking opportunities.

Different aspects in the industry are highlighted at Intervitis Interfructa – cultivation techniques; harvesting and processing; oenology including cooling systems, pump and handling systems, filtration and wine treatment technology; packaging, as well as sales and marketing.

For South Africans in these industries, these international areas offer excellent opportunities to view never before seen products, as well as direct contact with representatives with regard to potential new agencies locally.

With thousands of visitors over the three day extravaganza in 2009, this year will also be known for the more than 100 exhibitors showing off forefront technology and services which offer a perfect marketing platform where individuals in the wine, fruit, fruit juice and spirits industries can personally communicate with a selected audience.

Visitors include buyers, viticulturists and farm managers to individuals in the information, research, marketing and financial sectors.

A first ever this year at the exhibition will be the WineLand Mini-Seminars where the buzz will be about terroir, alcohol reduction and rare cultivars.

Selected experts will deal with these hot subjects in short morning sessions. They will delve into the intricacies of terroir, including facts and fables.

New cultivars will also be put under a magnifying glass and you can become a legal eagle on the control of alcohol levels.

Booking for the WineLand Mini-Seminars at the WineLand Lounge – in the show hall – is essential. Only 100 seats are available per day.

Tickets are R120 per person, but only R300 if you attend all three seminars. Contact Susan Smith on 021 448 7330 or susansmith@isales.co.za.

Intervitis Interfructa Southern Africa is the ideal place to maintain a competitive presence in the market place with the added benefits of increasing market share, upholding your competitive edge and allowing the opportunity to analyse competitive products and strategies. In the end it all boils down to optimal sales, reinforcement of purchasing decisions, on-the-spot negotiation and new business opportunities.

Intervitis Interfructa with its headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, has four satellite exhibitions in Austria, Russia, South Africa and India.
