Three die in violence

THREE people were murdered in separate incidents over the weekend. On Saturday evening Maria Mentoor died after sustaining stab wounds to the head and stomach during a party at a worker’s house on Braemar Farm. Niklaas Paulse was arrested for murder. The same evening, Mbekweni police came across the body of a man in Mbekweni. According to eyewitnesses, the suspect had argued with two men when the stabbing took place. Lungisani Nombewu and an unidentified man were both stabbed in the neck. Gcinikhaya Ntungo (32) was arrested. Chrisjan Engelbrecht was stabbed with a knife in Vivian Matthee Street, Klein Nederburg. His sister-in-law. Cheryline Louw, was arrested and charged with murder.
