THE Tygerberg Bird Club (TBC) will be hosting a half-day Gardening for Birds course, presented by Mariana Delport at the Tygerberg Nature Reserve on Saturday 30 July.
The course will cover creating various habitats to make your garden more bird-friendly, the plants to plant to attract various bird species to your garden (fruit eaters, seed eaters, insect eaters), how to manage your garden to make it more bird-friendly, making your own compost and alternatives for poisons/insecticides.
The course fees are R80 for members (R100 for non-members, R40 for TBC student members and R50 for non-TBC students). Tea and coffee are included.
