Landmarks half-marathon

ENTRIES are open for the Landmarks half-marathon, which takes place on Sunday 6 November in Cape Town and celebrates its ten year anniversary. Participants running their tenth half-marathon will receive their permanent numbers to celebrate this milestone. A popular event with Western Cape athletes, the 21,1km route offers a challenging and scenic route past key landmarks in the southern suburbs. The 6 km fun run/walk starts at 06:45 and is aimed at encouraging school children to be active and get outdoors. Cut-off for the fun run/walk is 09:00. There is great prize money up for grabs in the School Challenge, where the schools with the highest percentage of learners participating in relation to the total number of learners in the school, will be rewarded. Participants can enter at www.topevents.co.za or pick up an entry form at any Sportsmans Warehouse or New Balance outlet store. Pre-race entries close on Sunday 30 October, but late entries will be taken on race day at Western Province Cricket Club from 05:00 onwards.
