* Stamp Fair. A Stamp Fair will take place in Paarl on Saturday 20 August from 09:00 to 12:30 at St Petri Lutheran Church Hall (corner of Durr & Orange Street). For more information, contact Rob Harm on 082 925 7103.
* Wine and wisdom. On 2 September, Paarl United Church is holding a fund-raising event in the form of a “Wine and Wisdom” evening. The event will take place at Girls’ High’s school hall and tickets are R80 per person. A three course meal will be served, and in between courses there will be a general knowledge quiz. People are welcome to make up tables of ten, or to phone the church office at 021 872 6341 for bookings. There will be a cash bar. At the end of the evening there is a prize for each of the participants at the winning table as well as the ten participants at the losing table. Other spot prizes will be handed out during the evening.
* Workshop. A Life Coaching Work-shop will be held at De Poort on 27 August from 08:00 till 13:00. The topics covered are Goal Setting, A Vision & Mission for Life, Strategising and Action, Unmerited Benefits of Specific and Precise and more.
