THE Wellington Gravel Travel mountain-bike event will take place place at Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate on 27 and 28 August.

On the Saturday the fit riders will attempt the MTN ultra-marathon race of 105 km and the MTN marathon over 75 km.

Sunday is a day for the families to join in the Nissan half-marathon over 40 km and the Olympic 20 km.

There will be ample food and wine for everyone to enjoy. All the wine farms of the area will be present in the marquee for wine tasting.

To make this a real family event, there will also be the Spur 5 km race for the kids on Sunday with the Spur play area for their entertainment after the ride. For more information and online entries, visit www.graveltravel.co.za.
