MORE than 350 learners from the Boland, Overberg, West Coast and the Southern Cape will take part in the annual Stellenbosch regional competition of the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists which takes place on 25 and 26 August at Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch.

Participating learners are able to submit projects in one of 25 different categories, such as health, medicine, mathematics, the natural and social sciences, and engineering.

Members of the public are welcome to view the nearly 230 exhibitions on Friday 26 August from 11:00 to 13:00 in the Paul Roos Gymnasium Activity Centre.

Medals and special prizes will be presented at 15:30 during the prize-giving ceremony.

A team of 20 projects will be selected to represent the Stellenbosch region at the National Eskom Expo for Young Scientists in Boksburg from 6 to 8 October.
