Club celebrates 20 years og good bridge

THE Boland Bridge Club is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year after having had their first meeting in the Bom Hoffman Lions Club Hall in Noorder-Paarl in 1991. A celebratory bridge morning is being held on 23 September from 08:30. The Club has decided to couple the anniversary to a charity bridge drive to raise funds for local charities. The Club extended an invitation to all social and competitive bridge players from Paarl and the surrounding towns to join them for a fun-filled morning of bridge, followed by a light lunch. The club now has 30 active members and meets every Wednesday at 08:45 at the Boys’ High School Clubhouse in Brug Street. Newcomers are welcome and bridge lessons can be provided.
