Commemoration ceremony

ON Sunday at 09:30, the annual commemoration ceremony for the Italian prisoners of war from World War II will take place at the Worcester Cemetery’s Roman Catholic section.
A flag-raising ceremony will begin the proceedings with the playing of the last post, followed by a church service by Father Michelli.
The South African Military will be present and the Cape Town Italian Consulate will be represented by Dr Angelo Vecchi. A wreathlaying ceremony will follow, led by Giovanni Lorenzi.
