Classical eve at Zorgvliet
2005-12-01
THE historic Zorgvliet Wine Estate, located in the breathtakingly beautiful Banhoek Valley, invites all music lovers to enjoy an evening of entertainment with light classical music on Thursday 8 December at 19:00.
Allow the Cape Town Classics Quartet, consisting of Carina Bruwer (flute), Este Visser (violin), Annemi van der Merwe (viola) and Hans Roosenschoon (cello), the opportunity to soothe the soul with works by Mozart, classic opera favourites, well-known movie soundtracks and a few Latin surprises!
The recitals will take place in the intimate little chapel on Zorgvliet with its beautiful stained glass windows.
Afterwards guests can enjoy the elegant atmosphere at the Zorgvliet Herenhuis restaurant where light refreshments will be served.
The restaurant is located in the original farm manor-house, which dates back to 1692, and has been meticulously restored to its glorious Cape Dutch splendour with thatch roof, yellowwood floors and beams.
Tickets are R80 (including refreshments afterwards). For more information, reservations and directions, contact Zorgvliet Wine Estate direct on 885-2580 or 0800 21 22 23 or visit www. zorgvliet.com.
