THIS summer season you can take along your own picnic to enjoy on the lawn at Freedom Hill winery on the Wemmershoek Road, overlooking Drakenstein Prison. Dive into the reservoir which is now used exclusively as a swimming pool.
There is no charge to picnic at Freedom Hill and you can also sample the award winning wines. It was also voted Best Red Wine Retailing under R50 a bottle.
