A PROPOSAL to develop 26 exclusive residential units, a guesthouse, restaurant and conference facilities on the farm Diamant in South Agter Paarl, is currently being investigated.
Some existing buildings will be utilised, while the residential units will be located in an old quarry of 23 hectares on the farm.
New staff housing and a community hall will be constructed south of the Landskroon road. A sewage works will also be constructed and wine maturation cellar.
It is anticipated that a full heritage impact assessment will be required by the provincial government.

The redevelopment of central Klapmuts in the vicinity of the Klapmuts Hotel, is gradually taking shape.
Nearly all the erven between the Old Paarl Road and the railway line were purchased a few years ago by former Paarlite Carel Redelinghuys and are now being rezoned by various owners for development.
The plans include a shopping centre, as well as a service station at the four-way stop on the Stellenbosch intersection. Group housing is also on the cards near the police station.
An application for the rezoning of erven 8 and 87 for the shopping centre was recently submitted to Stellenbosch Municipality.
