Twelth Night on stage
2006-01-12
ARTSCAPE and the Maynardville Theatre Trust will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shakespeare productions at Maynardville Open-Air Theatre, with Twelfth Night until 18 February.
A merry-go-round of unrequited love, mistaken identities, high comedy, clowning and drunken revelry makes Twelfth Night both a wonderful entertainment and a reflection on mortality, the end of youth and how fleeting our lives are.
International actor Jeremy Crutchley will star in this production as Malvolio, supported by Claire Watling (Feste), Astara Mwakalumbwa (Olivia), Nicholas Ellenbogen (Sir Toby Belch), Henri Landon (Viola) and Robyn Scott as Maria, amongst others. Robert Jeffery has composed the music and together with three musicians will accompany the actors at all performances.
Book at Computicket or Artscape Dial-a-Seat 421-7695.
