Baby clings to life

A TWO-MONTH-OLD baby boy is currently in a serious condition after he was set alight by his mother.
Elona Khanyo of OR near Mbekweni, was at home with his mother, Bulelo Khanyo (25).
According to reports an argument broke out between Bulelo and her
boyfriend, after which she doused herself and Elona with paraffin and set them alight.
The mother was taken to Tygerberg Hospital with serious burn wounds, and Elona is fighting for his life at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Mother and son are both still in a critical condition.
The police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
