Dealership to move
2006-01-19
THE motor dealership McCarthy Toyota is to move to a new site at the Paarl Mall by the middle of the year.
Construction of the new building at the corner of Cecilia and Kohler Street started this week.
The existing building of McCarthy Toyota in the CBD, behind Pick ’n Pay in Fabriek Street, is to be demolished for the erection of a Game store, with parking beneath the building.
The new Game shop will be nearly 4000 square metres, with a partial second storey for administration offices, according to developer Johan Pauw.
The building will face south, fronting on the Wamakersvallei parking area.
A section of the municipal parking area to the east of the building, about 200 square metres, will be incorporated into the development to allow additional space, including access to the underground parking.
The new McCarthy Toyota building is due for completion in June. A petrol service station is also planned at the entrance to the mall.
