Winelands spatial development discussion

2006-02-02

THE Cape Winelands District Municipality has completed a Spatial Development Framework for the district and it is now available at local libraries for comment.

A Spatial Development Framework (SDF) is a strategic forward planning document, which sets out objectives that reflect desired patterns of land use in the municipality.

It addresses the spatial reconstruction of the municipality and provides strategic guidance in respect of the location and nature of development within the municipality.

Public meetings will be held today at 10:00 at the Worcester Council Chambers and on 16 February at the Worcester Council Chambers at 18:00.

The document is also available on the Cape Winelands District Municipality website (www.capewinelands.gov.za) and at local libraries.

Forward comments to Kelcy Le Keur, Executive Director of Public Safety and Planning Services, by 16 February. For enquiries, phone 888-5156 or email kelcy@bolanddm.co.za.
