`One Night Stand' for Valentine

HERE is your chance to surprise your partner with tickets for a Valentine’s evening with a difference in Paarl.
Three artists, Petronel Baard, Aletia Upastairs and Sigrun Paschke, will perform at Waterpoel de Windmeul, the new development in Slot van die Paarl.
Petronel Baard will sing some of her most beautiful love songs, as well as adaptations of existing favourites.
She accompanies herself on the piano and in between she pokes fun
at her own and others’ successes and failures in their search for love.
After drama training, Aletia Upastairs toured Europe where she performed in musicals and TV productions, cabarets and jazz shows.
Since her return to SA she has performed in gigs with the World Music Band, Soul Fruit and the Latino band Coracao.
Her most recent performance was in ‘Koos innie Doos’ at Klein Libertas in Stellenbosch.
She is currently working on a solo album of her music which will be released later this year.
Sigrun Paschke is a composer, accompanist and arranger. She regularly performs for Theatre Sports at Artscape and at the Commodore, the Radisson and the Ritz.
She has been working with Aletia for the last three years and often arranges Aletia’s music.
