Picnic Festival for Bien Donné

THE first Cape Country Picnic Festival will be held on the beautiful Bien Donné Farm in Simondium, between Paarl and Franschhoek, from 24 to 26 February.
The event is organised by Cadek International, who also previously co-ordinated the Stellenbosch Wine Festival and ARC Infruitec-Nietvoorbij’s Bien Donné Agricultural Expo (2002-2004).
The Picnic Festival is for the whole family and will run over three days, from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 February daily from 11:00 to 20:00 (closing at 18:00 on the Sunday).
Bring your picnic basket with basic essentials and buy your picnic bites and goodies from our exhibitors and food stalls. You’ll find a feast of bakes, delicatessens, cheese, food and wine.
Bring a picnic blanket or buy one at the venue. Relax and linger on the large lawns surrounded by oak trees, spend quality time with family and friends and enjoy the live background music performed by local musicians.
Browse through the food and wine stalls, arts & crafts, paintings, outdoor adventure section and more. Kids can enjoy the kiddies' area and organised games.
Tickets are available from the gates, Computicket and Shoprite Checkers at R45 per person. Kids 12 & under enter for free. You can buy tickets on-line at www.computicket. co.za
