Brass band congress: The Beau Soleil, Hugo Lambrechts and Frank Pietersen Music Centres invite all brass players to the annual brass congress on 4 and 5 March. All classes, lectures, rehearsals and performances will take place at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre in Picton Street, Parow. Teaterkafee: René van der Berg is eerste op die program Donderdagaand. Vrydag is een van die Kaap se mees ervare musikante terug by Dorpstraat. Performance postponed: The performance of the Goldberg Variations by flautist Eva Tamássy, together with organist and harpsichordist, Mario Nell, at the Endler Hall has been postponed until Sunday 28 May at 16:30. Tickets for the performance (R40, R20 for pensioners and students) will be available at the Conservatorium from Monday 15 May at the reception desk (Neethling Street entrance). Oude Libertas: Tygerberg Kinderkoor is Sondagaand in die amfiteater. Hierdie veelbekroonde koor het by KKNK 2005 die Kanna gewen vir die Beste Klassieke Musiekproduksie.
Jazz: “Jazz on Friday” will take place every Friday evening until 31 March at the La Grange Gallery & Fromagerie Restaurant,13 Danel Hugo Street in Franschhoek. The La Fromagerie Jazz Band will play from 17:30 to 20:30 and the cost is R100 per couple which includes a bottle of wine. Bookings are recommended and the tables will be held until 18:00. Oude Libertas: ‘Nagkantoor’ is op 2, 3 & 4 Maart in die amfiteater. Koos du Plessis, die liedjieskrywer, die legende; gesien deur die oë van skrywers PG du Plessis en Carel Theunissen soos hulle hom geken het in die Nagkantoor.
Vibravo: On 4 March “Vibravo!” will be the final show in the current season of the Paul Cluver Forest Amphitheatre at Grabouw. Gates open at 17:00, for the show at 19:00. Tickets cost R85.
