Cyclists hit valley

THIS year’s Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Giro del Capo starts in Wellington’s Church Street on Wednesday at 09:30, finishing at the same spot at 12:05.
The cyclists will travel 110 km during Stage 1, travelling through Hermon, Wolseley and back through Bain’s Kloof. Church Street and Fontein Street will be closed part of this time.
Stage 3 (174,5 km) returns to the area on Friday 10 March, starting in Market Street at 09:30 and ending there at 14:30. The cyclists pass through Franschhoek, over the Franschhoek and Villiersdorp, returning over Du Toit’s Kloof Pass.
Market Street will be partially closed between 08:00 and 09:30 for the start of the second stage. There will also be short delays on the R303 towards Franschhoek between 09:30 and 09:50.
The Market street area will also be partially closed for the finish of the stage between 14:15 and 14:45.
There will also be delays on the Franschhoek Pass and Du Toit’s Kloof.
