Teaterkafee: Dis Woordfees in Stellenbosch, en Dorpstraat neem ook hieraan deel. Vanaand kuier Abel Kraamsaal daar en môre is dit Rian Malan. Saterdag is Koos Kombuis en Rocco de Villiers in die Stellenbosch stadsaal. Maandag is Bacchus aan die beurt en Woensdag is dit Paarliet Charlene Truter. Woordfees: Petronel Baard en Niël Rademan is terug by die Woordfees met ’n splinternuwe vertoning, waarin hulle van die mooiste liefdesliede-re in Afrikaans sing. Petronel en Niël verwerk self die musiek en met ’n kombina-sie van klawers en verruklike stemwerk beloof dit om ’n aand van vervoering te wees. Hierdie vertoning word voorafgegaan met ’n glasie Bolandse wyn en ’n Jacoline de Haan-kunsuitstalling getiteld, Lijfgescrijf. Dit vind môreaand om 20:30 plaas in die Ou Konservatorium, Stellenbosch. Jazz: “Jazz on Friday” will take place every Friday evening until 31 March at the La Grange Gallery & Fromagerie Restaurant,13 Danel Hugo Street in Franschhoek. The La Fromagerie Jazz Band will play from 17:30 to 20:30 and the cost is R100 per couple which includes a bottle of wine. Cheese platters will be available for R60/platter. Bookings are recommended and the tables will be held until 18:00. Phone 876-2155.
Full moon hike: The Dirtopia Trail Centre at Delvera invites you to enjoy its final full moon hike of the season. Watch an amazing sunset over Table Mountain and view a spectacular full-moon rise on Wednesday 15 March. The clearly marked Vineyard Trail is 9,75km in total and hikers can take a leisurely meander through a Renosterveld Conservancy and Yellowwood forest to the top of Klapmutskop. Mouthwatering picnic baskets can be ordered in advance. Snacks and cooldrinks will be for sale at the Trail Centre, own refreshments welcome. A shorter route is available if preferred. Remember to wear comfortable hiking shoes, something warm to wear after dark and a torch. Arrival from 17:15 for 17:45.
