New lifestyle centre opening

CONSTRUCTION of the expansive Lifestyle Centre on the prestigious Pearl Valley Golf Estate is nearing completion.
The 6500m² complex will be opening in May and will sport modern, state-of-the-art amenities on a scale never before seen at any other golf estate in the Western Cape.
Bringing all the mod cons of city living to this secure country estate, the Lifestyle Centre is created to become the focal point of life at Pearl Valley, to develop a warm sense of community, and to act as a convenient hub for social interaction amongst residents.
Comprising a lower and upper level, the Lifestyle Centre is located adjacent to the Driving Range, between the 18th and 9th fairways of the championship golf course, designed by renowned ‘Golfer of the Century’ Jack Nicklaus.
Earlier this year, the Pearl Valley golf course was rated number 8 in the country in Golf Digest’s ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in South Africa’, and no 3 in the ‘Best Conditioned Golf Courses’ category, as well as 5th ‘New Golf Course’ overall.
An impressive range of facilities will echo the active lifestyle on the estate. On the lower level of the Lifestyle Centre, a bar terrace overlooks the pool with a magnificent rock feature and cascading waterfall as focal point.
There will be no less than three swimming pools, the largest of which will be fitted with a sunken wet bar that will serve tropical cocktails.
There will be a separate children’s swimming pool with a waterslide, as well as a baby pool.
This will be augmented by a large barbeque area as well as pavilion with seating facilities and an inviting lawn area where a marquee may be erected to host weddings, functions and events.
Adjacent to the pool terrace are separate ‘His & Hers’ Change Rooms, complete with individual saunas.
A gymnasium fully equipped with top of the range exercise equipment and a sprung floor for cardiovascular exercises will be on offer, as well as a Pilates room for those who want to indulge in the latest exercise techniques.
Female residents will enjoy the facilities of a health, hair and beauty salon, and the lower level will also house an arts and crafts centre.
The state-of-the-art Kiddies Centre and crèche will be operated by Bridge House School. It will incorporate a TV section, an internet and computer games section as well as kitchen area with pizza ovens for kids’ meals and an enclosed play area, and is certain to be a hit with the young ones.
For those wishing to indulge in a culinary exploration, the restaurant on the upper level will be served by a state-of-the-art kitchen, and will offer succour for the palate.
The restaurant will also have the capacity to be transformed into a conference facility. The VIP lounge will feature a bar, library and billiard room as well as exclusive change rooms.
