Fairy-tale fun in school holidays

THE Ugly Duckling and Other Stories will entertain audiences at the Baxter theatre during the school holidays, at 11:00 daily from Saturday to 8 April.
The Ugly Duckling, The King’s New Clothes and The Princess and the Swineherd, are three magical stories by the Danish weaver of dreams, Hans Christian Andersen.
Filled with colourful characters, the stage adaptation sticks closely to the original fairy- tales.
The stories have lessons to be learnt - don’t be judgmental (Ugly Duckling), don’t be foolish (King’s New Clothes) and don’t be greedy (The Princess and the Swineherd).
The duration of the show is 45 minutes and the show is ideal for 2 to 11 year-olds or anyone young at heart.
The Ugly Duckling and Other Stories is directed by Elton John Duffy, who runs the Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company.
The production stars Sindi Harrison, Elton John Duffy, Taryn Luitingh and Tanya van Tonder.
