Wagon industry discussed

THE annual general meeting of De Poort Project will be held on Tuesday 25 April in the Casidra Building at 22 Louws Avenue, Paarl South, at 18:30.
The guest speaker is Dr Simon Hall (UCT Department of Archaeology) who will discuss Khoisan paintings in the Tankwa Ceres Karoo depicting animal drawn transport.
Marlene Goosen (archivist) will also talk on the carriage building industry in the Paarl area (illustrated with photos recovered from Drakenstein Municipality’s photographic glass plates collection.
