Stars for Nederburg
2006-05-04
THE 2003 Nederburg Private Bin Cabernet Sauvignon was recently rated four-and a half stars by Wine Magazine.
It stood out for the panellists as “cracker”, powerful rich and bold, packed with fruit and yet backed up with good, unobtrusive wooding and “well-manged” tannins.
The wine, which has delicate coffee and chocolate aromas, was aged in a combination of French (80%), Hungarian and American barrels, all new.
Says cellarmaster Razvan Macici: “We are particularly gratified by the acknowledgement of the balance between fruit and finesse we have been striving to achieve for all Nederburg wines.”
