Rubber factory burns

A FACTORY in the Daljosaphat industrial area, Paarl lost millions of rands this past weekend, when a fire destroyed most of the building and its contents.
The fire broke out at Rubaloy in Alkmaar Street at approximately 07:00 on Saturday morning.
Rubaloy manufactures rubber flooring and mats, as well as plastic wood.
Avril Stassen, manager of Rubaloy, said that the extent of the damage can not yet be estimated, but the damage will run into millions of rands.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
