THE very talented Bothma sisters, Dominique and Tracy-Lee, walked away with no less than four ballet tropies at the last Paarl Valley Eisteddfod.

Tracy-Lee won the trophy for Best Solo, 15-16 years. She also shared the Best Duo Trophy with Charmoleigh Fortuin.

Both of them achieved 98% at their last Grade 6 Royal Academy of Dance Examination.

Tracy-Lee, Charmoleigh and Dominique were also in the ballet group which won the Best Ballet Group Trophy for 15-16 years.

Dominique (headgirl of William Lloyd Primary) won the trophy for Best Solo for age 11-12 years. She also attained her second 100% for her last Royal Academy of Dance Grade exam.

Both Dominique and Roné Pietersen achieved 100% for their Primary and Grade 3 Ballet examinations.

The Best Ballet Trio (5-6 yrs) was won by Shannon Meihuizen, Alexandra Borel-Saladin and Kira Kotzen; Best Ballet Solo (7-8yr) went to Georgia Meihuizen; Best Ballet Trio (7-8 yr) - Georgia Meihuizen, Annie Farley, Nicole Hellinger; Best Ballet Group (7-8 yr) - “Teddy Bears’ Picnic”; Best Ballet Solo (9-10yr) - Candice de Kock; Best Ballet Trio (9-10yr) - Sheldene Dyers, Mandy-Jade Petrus, Nicole Appollis; Best Ballet Group (11-12yr) “Autumn Shades”; Best Ballet Solo (13-14 yr) - Blanche Kermis; Best Ballet Group (15-16 yr) - “A New Dawn”.

Pupils taught by Beverley Valentyn won twelve trophies at the Eisteddfod. They are taught at William Lloyd Primary, Courtrai Primary and Bridge House.
