Golf estate plans

A PUBLIC open house meeting to discuss the proposed Two Rivers residential estate and golf trail in Groot Drakenstein, will be held at the Pniel banqueting hall on Thursday 3 August from 16:00 to 19:00.
There will be an exhibition, but no formal presentation.
The estate is planned on the bank of the Berg River in Groot Drakenstein, in the vicinity of Bellingham, on portions of the farms Weltevreden and Jericho.
It is to be developed as an agricultural and residential estate next to the R45, with a golf trail with 18 holes.
A total of 170 homes on large erven is planned.
A further village of 25 group housing holiday units will function as a hotel, with a clubhouse, guesthouse and small restaurant in the existing farmhouse on Weltevreden.
The draft scoping report is available at the Franschhoek, Pniel and Stellenbosch Library.
