Paarl CC raring to go

THE executive committee of the Paarl Cricket Club is hard at work planning a pre-season tour to the South Cape.
All those interested in making the trip are requested to contact treasurer Brian Koert on 082-085-0586 without delay.
Depending on the attendance at practice sessions, a decision will be taken whether to travel with one team, or two.
The club captain, Zurich Muller (072-456-1567), who will be co-ordinating practices at Boland Park from Tuesday, expressed his delight that the club’s pace bowling strength will be bolstered.
Hilroy Paulse (currently with the Plascon Academy) and the nippy lefthander, Lindsay Primo (member of the Boland Academy), are sure to enhance the excitement usually provided by Ultallyn Ernstzen, Lyndon Fredericks and Clint Philander.
The club chairman Angelo Carolissen is happy with the early appointment of all the club’s sub-committees and selectors.
He invites all members to an Indaba on Saturday 12 August, where the club’s long and short term plans will be finalised.
Steak platters at R30 will be available to all members and supporters from 13:00 on Saturday, at the residence of the Carolissens (082-564-3195).
